Q. Do I need to do a makeup or hair preview or run through before my wedding?

A. We regularly receive multiple requests for the same wedding or event dates, so, to reserve your artists we require a booking agreement and nominal retainer fee which can be applied to your preview. Upon completion of your preview a 50% deposit with a completed contract will be required to confirm your artists and your booking.

 

Q can i bring family or friends with me to my preview?

We want you to be fully delighted with the results of your preview so, for us to provide you with the best possible service, usually that means placing our attention fully on you the bride without interruptions. If family or friends attend we ask that you limit the number of people to two, and allow your artists room to work to the best of their ability.  Please note, for safety due to the sharp implements, tools and hot irons that we use for services we prefer that children are not left unattended or are not present during your preview.


Q. Is there a charge for traveling to my location for facials, makeup or hair services?

There is no charge for a member of our team to travel to your location if you are in the Phoenix metropolitan area (Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert or immediate surrounding areas). 

However, if your location is outside of these areas including Sun City, Apache Junction, Florence, San Tan, Casa Grande, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson etc a travel fee will be applied.


Q. How do I know which Glam Lounge Artist I am booking for my service?

A. You can request a specific artist for your service, otherwise we'll book an artist based on your needs in conjunction with availability for the day of your event.


Q. Is my deposit due up front when I book an artist?

q. what if i only want to do a preview, why do you require a retainer or contract?

We would love to be able to reserve our artists based on a verbal agreement or a phone call only, but our team often receives requests from more than one bride for the same day so it is necessary for us to use a standard booking system.  It would be a big disappointment to our brides if they loved their preview look only to have another client for the same day return a contract and book that artist before them.  With our system we make sure to reserve and confirm the same artist that made you look gorgeous for both the preview and wedding.  

 

Q. WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL? DO YOU GIVE REFUNDS?

Things happen, and we understand that sometimes cancelling is unavoidable.  However, when we secure your time or date, this means we turn away others clients, therefore retainer fees and deposits are non refundable if you cancel within 14 days of your preview or 60 days of your wedding day. 

 

Q. I DON’T WANT TO BREAK OUT ON MY WEDDING/EVENT DAY BUT I WANT MY SKIN TO LOOK GREAT. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I GET A FACIAL BEFORE MY WEDDING OR EVENT?

Our Oxygen Rejuvenation Facial has no downtime, there are no extractions, or irritants. It’s the perfect hydrating treatment that leaves skin luminous, smooth and lifted. It can be performed the day before or day of your wedding or event without the fear of breakouts or redness.

 

Q WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ON THE DAY OF MY PREVIEW OR WEDDING?

For Makeup previews and wedding day services we prefer clients to have a clean face, you can use your regular moisturizer or sunscreen if you have skin care concerns otherwise our artists will do a skin prep prior to makeup. (If you are booking a Luxury Experience a pre-makeup skin care treatment is included)  For hair previews and wedding day, we prefer clean dry hair (with little or no product), that has not been flat ironed (unless you are desiring a flat ironed/ straight hair style for your service) so that we may achieve the desired style.  For all makeup and hair services we recommend wearing a button down shirt that can easily be changed out of without disturbing the finished look.  To ensure the smoothest booking possible we send more details upon confirmation..

Q CAN YOU ADD HAIR EXTENSIONS?

If the hair style you have selected requires extensions, we can absolutely add your clip in hair extensions. We are happy to recommend a style, brand and place to purchase hair extensions that will work with your desired look.  If you would like something more permanent than clip in extensions, we can give you recommendations - just ask. 


Q. I love the photos on your gallery! Did Glam Lounge Artists do the makeup and hair for all these photos?

A. Thanks so much!  With the exception of a few images of hair… all of the makeup and hair shown throughout the site were done by Glam Lounge Artists. If you love a look and want to recreate it, let us know!
